BOR Resolution No. 55-2008, stipulated that the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Training (VP-RET) include the following units:

A. Research and Development Center

• Center for Research and Innovation in Science and Mathematics Education (CRISMED) 
• Center for Philippine Native Chicken (CPNC)

B. Extension and Development Center

• Alumni, Gender and Development (GAD) 
• Panrehiyong Sentro ng Wikang Filipino (PSWF)
• Gawad Kalinga (GK)

C. Training

• Center Professional and Continuing Education (CPDCE) 

The VP-RET Office is tasked to perform general supervision and coordination of all programs and projects of the various units under its office. It recommends and implements policies, guidelines, plans, strategies and programs formulation governing the Research, Extension and Training Programs of the University.
